letters to my daughter

Eight more weeks until she’s two. How, how is that possible? Nine more weeks until I have two baby girls. I don’t even want to think about that!

Letter to my daughter, 1.9 & 1.10

At least I got these out before she turns two – that has to count for something!

18 Months Old – in her special rodeo dress & first pair of boots!

And we still haven’t found a great place for her monthly pictures at the new house, so just videos for the past two months.

Hey – these posts are up just in time for her to turn 18 months old! Better late … yadayada

16 Months Old

And not very happy about it, apparently

Pouty McPouterson

There’s my happy girl!

Maybe she saw a bug!

17 Months Old

Much happier about being 17 months old!

Hi!

Animal crackers are yummy!

And apparently pretty funny!

Thanks to Aunt Savannah for the dress!

Letters to my daughter, 1.4 & 1.5

Poor little Mar wasn’t feeling very well (nasty cold and two or more new teeth coming in) so these aren’t the best pictures.

See what I mean?

She’s still pretty cute though :)

Hopefully there will be four teeth there soon!

I’ll eat you up I love you so!

Such a big girl

Today, I’m thankful for my fourteen month old baby girl :)

Letters to my daughter, letter 1.2

And I’m stealing this idea from a friend who has monthly “conversations” with her daughter

Today I am thankful for fall weather that makes my dogs act like this

And makes my daughter squeal with joy

My thirteen month old daughter makes me joyful

Every day, she gives me another reason to be thankful

Letters to my daughter, letter 1.1

Hard to believe so much growth happens in a year, isn’t it?

Twelve

It got considerably more difficult to get these pictures at the end of the first year :)

(She’s technically 11.5 months old now, but I can’t face the fact that she’ll be a year old so I was hoping that if I didn’t post it, it wasn’t true. Reality doesn’t work that way though. Boo hoo.)

Take note of Josh’s hand at the top of the page saying “Stay Marion.”

Unfortunately, she didn’t learn the same commands the dogs did.

Clearly.

We finally did manage to get a few good pictures

With her trademark blur :)

She loves Nanuq even more this month

She especially loves to share with him

Even if it is her fingers

Sweet babies

Letters to my daughter, month eleven

Time is just flying, she’s eight months old already!

She doesn’t look too happy about it though :)

Her feet make her happy!

Her puppy makes her happiest

Don’t those two look like they could get into some mischief?

She’s so silly!

Nanuq is so long suffering

He puts up with an awful lot

Like this

And this

Ahhh, eight months old, what fun!

Letters to my daughter, month eight

Seven months old already!

It seems just impossible, doesn’t it?

Each month, it gets harder and harder to keep her still long enough to take a picture!

Look at those chunky monkey thighs!

Josh and I joke that she’s putting on her winter weight before she starts crawling.

And of course, everything still goes straight in the mouth.

Please stop growing up now, m’kay?

New trick this month, the forward lunge!

I also found out an almost crawling baby and a dog are next to impossible to photograph together

Not us!
