Today is my mom’s birthday, so in celebration, my favorite recent pictures of her (and by recent I mean what I can find on my mac, so they go back to like 2005) and how they highlight what I love most about my momma.
Mom fell and “hurt her knee” on what was really a bunny slope. This picture was taken from the chair lift as my brother and I pointed and laughed at her. We’re good kids.
She makes the puppy dogs love her – whether or not they want to!
Sickeningly sweet photo of us at one of my bridal showers.
Mom cries a lot. Here she is crying at our wedding rehearsal. Clearly she’s forgotten about the pointing and laughing incident on the slopes, or she would have been rejoicing that I’m now someone else’s problem.
The most staged photograph in the history of the world – and again, mom is on the verge of tears.
Full fledged crying on her part – laughter on mine. At least I’m not pointing at her this time.
Probably my most favorite photo of us together.
Tears are cured by dancing. Momma can dance.
I learned my sweet dancing skills from her.
Mom’s favorite thing in the world? Taking weird and out of place photos of people together. This one – well, it’s about 8:30 the morning after our wedding and we’d walked over to see if they had any food and as soon as we get in the door, mom yells “TAKE A PICTURE OF US ALL!” Why?
So happy birthday mom – I hope this makes you cry 🙂
