Weekends – Olympics and Knitting

So more knitting this week, but some old and some new at least!

I finished the first of the Thuja socks for Josh. I still don’t care for the color scheme, but the yarn is really nice so I guess that makes up for it.

That’s the old. The new is this

Poppy’s first soaker! It’s the Curly Purly pattern and went so much quicker than I thought. I don’t know why I hesitated so long before making this. I’m already planning the next few out in my head.

Seriously cute, right?

I’m calling this the “Twinkle Twinkle” soaker but perhaps it should be renamed the “Tinkle Tinkle” soaker 🙂

I don’t think I’ve mentioned it before, but we’re planning on cloth diapering (or CDing) for at least half time, if not full time. I’ve already started quite the stash of little dipes and the cuteness is overwhelming. If you’re wondering what a soaker is, this is a good link. My friend Jen also has a lot of good information on her blog as she starts her CD journey

And since I don’t have an actual baby yet

This will have to do for an on the bum photo.

There was also lots and lots of this

Thank heavens for DVRs!

Kat, you amaze me. Can I hire you to knit a tinkle tinkle soaker for my non-existent future baby? 🙂

Oh. My. Goodness. That’s seriously the cutest thing I’ve ever seen relating to diapers and such. Love it!
