9:15 a.m. update

We’re all settled in our room and they have started the lovely Pitocin. I came in having some pansy contractions apparently so hopefully it won’t take much to get things started. Still 1cm, 50% effaced, but we have had a few cervical changes for the positive, so that’s a good thing.

Since this is us, things have not been totally uneventful. It took three tries to get my IV going, resulting in me almost passing out twice. Then the IV pole wouldn’t roll, so the nurse tripped over it, sending it (and almost her!) crashing to the ground. Good times I tell you.

I will say the staff here, since it’s our third visit, knows us by name and our story and they have all been just simply amazing.

They’re upping my pitocin every 15 minutes, so hopefully we’ll have some more fun news in an hour or so.
