First Day of School

Marion started her first day of “school” today! Mother’s Day Out program, to be exact. We’re really excited as we didn’t think she’d be able to start until the fall session, but they had some spots come open so we grabbed one! She goes on Wednesday and Thursdays and during the fall will go Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Perfect for baby sister’s arrival!

Marion handled it all with much less emotion than mama (or dada) and had just a wonderful day. No tears at all! Well, no tears from Marion. I can’t say the same for myself.

Josh took the morning off work to take her to school with me and made her eggs and a waffle for a hearty school day breakfast 🙂

Stop bothering me while I eat Mama!

All her little things ready to go

I didn’t want to be total mamarazzi on her first day, so I tried to be inconspicuous with my picture taking. Let’s just say she was quite taken with all the plastic toys that light up and make sounds!

And it’s always good to have friends! We’re so happy that her little buddy Leo from our playgroup is in MDO with her on Wednesdays!

How did I pass my day you might ask? With a wonderful two hour mani & pedi with my fried Kelly (Leo’s mom.) I won’t even say how long it’s been since my last one! It was pretty much heavenly!

Marion was very excited to see me when I picked her up and chatted the whole way home about her day. I missed her a lot but I know she had a lot of fun and it will be good for the both of us.

Sweet Marion! What a big girl she is. I’m so glad you enjoyed your time off and that Marion had such a good first day.
