We Love Grandparents

Seriously, we love grandparents. Life with two babies has certainly been an adjustment, no joke about that, but it was made so much easier by all the help our wonderful grandparents gave us. We are so blessed to have grandparents that could come and spend so much time with us and be such a huge help.

My dad and step-mom (Papaw and Marme) came over the day before Eliza was born and stayed with us through our hospital stay. They were able to drop off and pick up Marion each day from school and bring her to and from the hospital to visit us. Thanks to the wonder of video chat, Mar is super comfortable with Papaw and Marme and just loved having them all to herself. I think she thought she was on vacation the way she was getting spoiled! I knew Marion was well taken care of it and it really freed me up to enjoy my one on one time with Eliza.

Helping Marion meet her sister

After Pap & Marme left, my mom arrived from Alaska for a wonderfully long two week stay. Marion adores her Gigi and was again spoiled absolutely rotten the whole time! And of course, since she’s my mom, she did a fantastic job of mothering me as I got used to life with two babies of my own. Gigi was so invaluable in helping me get used to the logistics of having two kids all without the pressure of having to do it on my own. I’m so thankful she was able to come down for such a long time and help us out so much. All I had to do for the two weeks she was here was shower, get dressed (or just put on clean PJs) and nurse Eliza. Everything else, mom or Josh did for me. I was spoiled rotten too I have to say!

Are you sure this is how I’m supposed to do it?
