A Week of Christmas Crafts – Day Two

Another slightly lengthy craft here, but well worth the time investment. Also, because I am a chronic over buyer of fabric, a good way to use up leftovers from all the stockings!

LaLa’s dress

Marion’s dress

Just perfect for going to see Santa in! (Bean was having nothing to do with the jolly old elf)

Or maybe for bow hunting?

Most definitely perfect for being a sassafrass!

And just the thing for visiting Mamaw!

So in what might be the lamest post I’ve done about crafting, I didn’t actually use any sort of a pattern for the dresses, just cobbled them together the best I could, so I don’t really have a pattern to share. I honestly have to say I don’t know why I bother sewing, I hate the fiddly little details so much and sewing is pretty much made up of nothing but fiddly little details. Anyway.

To make this moderately worthwhile, here are some free (or not) dress patterns floating around online if you want to try to do a halfway decent job and not just wing it like me.

None of these have I actually made before, but hey, their pinned to my “Sewing” board on Pinterest, so that counts for something, right?
