Aunt Sarah’s Wedding

After Mississippi, we stopped in Alabama for a few days to see Aunt Sarah and Uncle Kenneth get married – yay!

A little wedding rehearsal fun – trying to keep this one from jumping in the lake!

The magic clips had their own wedding rehearsal

A big, huge thanks to all the family members who helped entertain the girls during dinner!

The next day, well, this picture kind of sums up the morning

That would be Marion. In mis-matched shoes. In WalMart. Holding a cup of crickets.

It rained and poured and a cold front came through, ruling out the hotel’s pool (it was outdoor) that we had counted on using to entertain the kids the morning of the wedding.

Which is how we found ourselves at WalMart in the back part of Alabama on a rainy Saturday morning.

We left with shaving cream and bathtub crayons. No crickets.

When in doubt, improvise!

Also, frozen dinners eaten on top of a rubbermaid container. Hey, toddlers love novelty.

Hallelujah, we made it to naptime!

Southern weddings require big hair. Even for flower girls.

Sparkles and tulle. Josh is so in his element.

Flower girls!

A rare family picture

We happen to be partial to May weddings

Dancing with cousin Raleigh

These two were on the dance floor all night long!

Congratulations Sarah & Kenneth!

One Response to Aunt Sarah’s Wedding

  1. Linda says:

    What a great weekend!!!
Two of my most memorable moments from Friday night —
First was reciting “There Was An Old Woman Who Swallowed A Cow” to your girls. I used to recite that story to Josh, Chris, Cynthia and Melissa!
Second was when I took Marion and Eliza outside.

As for Saturday night, CONGRATS to Sarah and Kenneth!!!!

And don’t forget the “Hokey Pokey”. 🙂

Looking forward to the next time we get together.
