We had such a scare this morning. Such a scare. I woke up about five this morning with spotting. It was red – marking it already different than the spotting I had with the twins. I freaked the freak out pretty much. It was about five a.m., and I just laid awake until Josh’s alarm went off. I told him about it and told him I was going to call the doctor at a more respectable hour.

I went on and canceled my training with Cedric and took Josh to work. I felt like I was cramping, but I was just so stressed out, that I knew it could have just been a giant stress ball sitting there as well. While Josh was working out, I puked up my apple juice. And then my jell-o. I was puking until the day of my d&c with the twins, so I know it’s not the most reliable symptom, but it was still somewhat reassuring.

Dr. Z called me back fairly quickly and told me to come in at 11:30. So I did, and they saw me quickly. I love that about his office, I almost never wait beyond a few minutes. When Dr. Z walked into the room, he gave me a big hug. His nurse practitioner, Sara, did the ultrasound and because Josh wasn’t with me, Dr. Z held my hand. So awesome of him! Immediately, he said “every thing’s fine!” and there was Poppy, just gestating away, with her heart beating, beating, beating away. I cried. Dr. Z, Sara, and a nurse were all in the exam room, and they were just so excited too.

I was amazed by how big Poppy has gotten!! My last ultrasound was exactly a week ago and Poppy was .62 cm. Now, 1.11 cm – almost doubled in size in a week! It’s amazing.

I went and had a celebratory lunch with Josh and showed him the new picture we have. That was a lot of fun as well 🙂

Our next ultrasound got moved from next week, to two weeks from yesterday. It’s longer to wait, but hopefully I’ll be okay with it, and not have another reason to go back before then. Next ultrasound I’ll be 9w, 2d then, so we should get a great picture of something that actually looks like a baby!

I spent most of the day today just lying on the couch and napping – it was really nice 🙂 I did go to the grocery store though. My favorite part of going is getting the fountain coke!

I had another workout session today – and I felt a lot better. It was probably because I managed to eat a little bit of breakfast. Unfortunately, the breakfast came back up after working out. Bleh.
